摘要
个人主义是西方文化的核心观念。西方个人主义的源头可以追溯到古典哲学、希腊城邦政治、贸易经济等文化和机构。罗素认为个人主义源于犬儒学派和斯多葛派。在西方,个人主义的形成与文艺复兴和宗教改革密不可分,个人主义最终在美国获得了积极的意义,由此被广为传播。探究西方个人主义源流,有助于我们正确理解和借鉴个人主义、丰富和发展民族文化。
Individualism is a core concept in western culture.The origin of individualism in the west can be traced back to classical philosophy,Greek city state politics,and trade economy.Russell Bertrand holds that individualism originates from the Cynic School and stoicism.Religion has exerted important effect on the formation of individualism in the west.And in the United States,individualism has gained active significance.The study of the origin and development of individualism in the west is meaningful for enriching Chinese national culture.
