摘要 基质金属蛋白酶(matrix metalloproteinases,MMPs)是一类结构和功能类似的金属依赖性蛋白水解酶家族,是降解细胞外基质(extracelluar matrix,ECM)成分的主要酶类。MMPs在细胞迁移分化和组织修复重建中均发挥重要作用,参与体内多种组织器官的生理及病理过程。近年来研究发现,晶状体中MMPs表达水平的变化与多种类型白内障的发生发展有密切联系,因此,对MMPs结构和功能的深入了解有助于阐明白内障的发病机制,并为白内障的预防和治疗提供新的思路。 The matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) are a pivotal family of metal enzymes responsible for degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM) components with similar structure and function.MMPs play important roles in cell migration,differentiation and normal repair and remodeling processes,and they participate in physiological and pathological processes of multiple tissues and organs in vivo.Recent studies have found that the changes of expression level of MMPs in lens and the development of multiple cataracts are closely linked,therefore,the in-depth understanding about the structure and function of MMPs helps to clarify the pathogenesis of cataract and provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of cataract.
