摘要
本文从培养目标、课程设置、教学模式、教授之道四个方面阐述了吴宓的人文主义外语教育思想:"博雅之士"的人才培养目标;语文并重、中西兼修的课程设置体系;自主学习、互动研究的教学模式;爱岗敬业、教研结合、包容宽恕的教授之道。吴宓的人文主义外语教育思想对当今的外语教学改革具有一定的借鉴意义。
This paper expounds Wu Mi's humanistic notions of foreign language education concerning the objectives,curriculum design,mode of teaching,and ethics of teaching.They are reflected mainly in his advocacy for a liberal education,his equal treatment of language and literature,and of English and Chinese literature,his teaching methods featuring students' autonomous learning,his equal emphasis on teaching and research,and his love for students.Wu Mi's humanistic notions of foreign language education may shed light on today's teaching and learning of foreign languages.
