切削液在高速钢刀具应用中的一种特殊现象初探

摘要 本文描述了高速钢刀具车削高强度调质钢和中碳调质钢时的一个特殊现象,即浇注乳化液反而使刀具耐用度降低.文章认为乳化液的润滑作用使得前后刀面上粘结区减小,滑动区增大,从而使更多的刀具表面失去粘结层的保护;乳化液的冷却作用使得刀具、工件之间的硬度差减小,这两种结果的共同作用加剧了刀具磨损. The paper presents a special phenomenon that the tool life de- creases significantly by applying emulsified cutting fluid when machin- ing hardened and tempered high strength steel and medium carbon steel with high speed steel turning tools. It is considered that the lubricating function of the emulsion reduces the area of seizure in the tool-work interface and enlarges the area of sliding, so that less tool surface can be protected by the layer of adherent workpiece material. Meanwhile the cooling effect of the cutting fluid reduces the hardness difference between the tool and the workpiece. As a result the tool wear is intensified.
