The high-temperature and high-pressure filter （S-1501） is an essential dedusting unit in the Shell pulverized coal gasification system. As the filter rods in the S-1501 are of ceramics, pre- cious and breakable, it is of the utmost importance to maintain well the rods. Points for attention are summed up for the rods in operation, and accident and shut-down handling.
