Toni Morrison＇s maiden novel The Bluest Eye tells the tragic fate of the heroine, Pecola, a Black little girl. Simultaneously, it also shows readers the healthy life of the narrator, Claudia, another Black girl younger than Pecola. Both of them are black, but their fates are totally different. By exploring the causes, it is not difficult to discover the themes that Morrison concerned and the important revelation on building a harmonious society.
