The library work emphasizes the function of the librarians and the function of the librarian consciousness.This paper expounds the definition of the library consciousness and the definition and connotation of the librarian consciousness,and probes into the importance of the librarian consciousness on the library work,points out that the librarian consciousness can be divided into positive one and negative one,and the librarians should possess stronger the self-subjectivity consciousness and the knowledge renewal consciousness.
