Seven compounds have been isolated from the roots of Curculigo orchiodes. On the basis of spectral analysis, theirstructures were elucidated as 2,6-dimethoxy benzoic acid (A), orcinol glucopyranosidc (B), curculigine A(C), curculigoside (D),24s,3,11a,166,24 -tetrahydroxycycloartenol-3-0-a- 24s,36,11a,166,24tctrahydroxycyc 1 oartenol - 3 -0- D-g 1 ucopyranosyl (1-2 )- D-glucopyranoside (F) and daucosterol (G).
