摘要 自愈(Self-Healing)技术旨在使系统具有类似于生物系统伤口愈合的特征,它是提高计算系统可靠性与可信赖性的一种潜在的重要方法,正受到越来越多研究人员的关注。当前,一些研究人员从不同视角对自愈技术展开了研究,并尝试运用自愈机制解决了一些针对特定应用的问题,然而,根据现有研究成果,研究人员对计算系统的自愈性尚未形成统一而成熟的认识。文章基于离散事件模型,将计算系统的诊断性与修复性结合起来,提出一种计算系统自愈性的定义及其描述方法,并通过例子进行说明。文中所提出的定义及其描述方法,为自愈计算系统的设计及计算系统的自愈性评价提供了理论基础。 Aim.In our opinion,in the open literature,self-healability has been understood only partially and consequently has not been depicted or defined very well.Sections 1 through 4 of the full paper explain the results of our exploration.Section 1 reviews Refs.2 through 7 and then summarizes what we believe to be their four shortcomings.Section 2 depicts the computing system with the discrete-event system(DES) and points out that the self-healing process can be depicted in such a way that the computing system can heal itself through recovering from faults and regaining normal states automatically.Section 3 explains the healability of the computing system with the DES;its core consists of:(1) we describe the fault model with the set theory;(2) we define the diagnosability of the computing system and its repairability;(3) we incorporate the diagnosability with the repairability and give the definition of self-healability.Section 4 uses the example of an abstract computing system to show that its self-healability differs in different fault models.Our definitions of self-healability of a complex computing system can provide what we believe to be the theoretical basis for designing and evaluating self-healing computing systems.But,our explorative work has stopped short of being easily implementable;this remains to be explored in the future.
