Scale,Management and Performance of Iron and Steel Corporation

摘要 以2009年30家上市钢铁企业作为样本,研究了钢铁企业规模同绩效之间的关系。结果发现,较规模而言钢铁企业组织管理因素对绩效的影响更为显著。在实证结果基础上,通过对规模经济性的深入辨析,提出:①管理和技术是钢铁企业获取规模经济性的关键要素;②钢铁企业合理规模边界的划定需要同时考虑企业自身的要素禀赋及外部市场条件;③不当的企业规模扩张会成为产业规模经济获取的障碍,相关政策需放松单纯的规模强调,鼓励有利于效率的产业重新配置,以实现合理规模和有效规模基础上的产业竞争力。 The paper collected the data of 30 iron and steel listed companies in 2009 and analyzed the relationship between scale and performance. Spearman analysis as well as Independent samples group test showed that the correlation between management and performance is more noticeable than that between scale and performance. Based on the theory of economies scale, the paper put forward some findings and suggestions to iron and steel industry as follows: (1) management and technology are key elements for economics of scale perusing. (2) scale boundary of iron and steel company should be identified based on contingency factors of inter resource and external market. (3) only emphasizing on scale of production may become obstacle for efficiency industry development. So some related policies should be made to encourage the merge and acquisition for industry restructuring and value added.
