摘要
在西方戏剧史上,有几部以古希腊神话故事希波吕托斯为主人公的经典作品。在欧里庇得斯的《希波吕托斯》、小塞内加和拉辛的同名戏剧《菲德拉》、当代英国剧作家萨拉.凯恩的《菲德拉的爱》中,反映了希波吕托斯的形象的演变,剧作家们分别借助这个人物形象来表达自己对时代和现实的理解,透过这个人物悲剧性命运,以戏剧作为人类思考及探索自身命运的严肃的艺术舞台,从哲学高度揭示了善在这个世界上的脆弱性。
Hippolytus,this story character in Greek myth,attracts western dramatists in the history.There are at least four representative plays related to Hippolytus,written respectively by Euripides,L.A.Seneca,J.Racine and by Sarah Kane.This paper intends to outline an image evolution of Hippolytus in these four classical plays.It is by using this stage image that the dramatists speak out their reflections on their own societies and eras,and explore,intentionally or unintentionally,the fragility of the Goodness in the reality.
