A LM-3A launch vehicle soared up into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on August 1 and successfully placed
ALM-3A launch vehicle soared up into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on August I and successfully placed China＇s 5th Beidou （Compass） navigation satellite into its preset transfer orbit. Different from the previous 4 Beidou satellites, the 5th one will operate in an inclined geosynchronous orbit. It is the third Beidou satellite launched consecutively this year to make up China＇s Beidou satellite navigation constellation.
