China’s 5th Beidou Satellite Enters Its Orbit

摘要 A LM-3A launch vehicle soared up into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on August 1 and successfully placed ALM-3A launch vehicle soared up into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on August I and successfully placed China's 5th Beidou (Compass) navigation satellite into its preset transfer orbit. Different from the previous 4 Beidou satellites, the 5th one will operate in an inclined geosynchronous orbit. It is the third Beidou satellite launched consecutively this year to make up China's Beidou satellite navigation constellation.
