摘要
根据传统语言学的观点,母语迁移对外语学习只有"负面"影响或起"干扰"作用。这种观点有一定的片面性。本文对母语问题做一历史回顾,探讨了母语与二语习得的关系以及母语迁移对二语习得有促进作用的理论依据,并指出在二语习得的过程中,母语是一种不可忽略的学习基础,是一种可利用的资源。
According to the point of view of traditional linguistics, the role of the learner's first language (L1) is negative. This belief should be reconsidered in the cognitive framework. This paper attempts to have a historical review of issues concerning L1 and discusses the relationship between L1 and Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and theoretical basis of how native language contributes to SLA. Finally, the paper argues that L1 plays a positive role in SLA and it should be viewed as a resource.
