摘要
目前针对胡适少年时期思想的研究,通常使用的是胡适的《四十自述》及《我的信仰》(What I Believe)。论文通过《胡适日记》及书信的记载,考察胡适的My Credo and Its Evolution与What I Believe的内容与成书时间,提出它们就是写作《四十自述》的最初蓝本。
The studies on Hu Shi＇s thought at his youth often relied on his Accounts at Forty and his English article entitled What I Believe.Hu Shi＇s other English writings were seldom studied, and very few scholars paid any attention to the relations between Accounts at Forty and What I Believe. This paper studies Hu Shi＇s diary, his correspondence, and the dating of his English articles My Credo and Its Evolution and What I Believe. The author has come to the conclusion that the two English articles mentioned above were actually the original text of Accounts at Forty.
