摘要
在英语中,由空间指示语there构成的构式可以叫做指示性there-构式。从论域的角度来看,指示性there-构式具有语篇外世界的特征,其作用是把语篇外世界中的某一实体指示出来。从认知的角度来看,指示性there-构式是人们对空间的体验和感知的结果。因此,这种构式可视为一种以说话人自我为中心和参照点的经验完形。我们提出的指示性言语交际事件识解模式说明,指示性there-构式所标示出的空间方位具有相对性和主观性。在言语交际活动中,这种构式是以言者空间为参照来突显被指示实体,从而使之成为交际双方注意的焦点。
In English,constructions with the deictic there at the sentence-initial position are regarded as a kind of deictic there-construction.From the viewpoint of the universe of discourse,deictic there-constructions are characteristic of the text-external world,and they are used to point out an entity which is in the text-external world.From the cognitive point of view,deictic there-constructions result from the human experience and perception of space.Therefore,such constructions are referred to as a kind of experiential gestalt.What＇s more,they are also speaker-egocentric constructions with the speaker as the reference point.The construal model of the deictic event of verbal communication proposed in this article reveals that the space represented by deictic there-constructions is relative and subjective,and that in verbal communication,such constructions,with the utterer space as the reference,are employed to point out the location of an entity which is thus brought into salience and becomes the focus of attention of both the speaker and the hearer.
