摘要
百喜草（ＰａｓｐａｌｕｍｎｏｔａｔｕｍＦｌｕｇｇｅ）是一种著名的多用型水土保持植物，１９８９年引种到大陆后，经多点试种观察和示范推广，证明百喜草能适应广大亚热带地区的气候、土壤条件，具有较明显的生态效益、经济和社会效益。论述了百喜草的生物学特性，在坡地农业中水土保持和改良土壤的生态效益，以及省工经营绿色坡地农业技术体系，并探讨了百喜草在国土保育和坡地农业应用的广阔前景。
Bahia grass ( Paspalum notatum Flugge) is a useful covering crop for soil conservation.It was introduced to Jiangxi Province from Taiwan in 1989. Being planted in Jiangxi and other provinces, the grass is found suitable under vast climatic and soil conditions of subtropical areas in China. The biological characteristics and ecological effects were examined. There are ecological, economical and social benefits in planting the Bahia grass for soil conservation and also for the slopeland agriculture.
