In the Yuan dynasty, Jining Circuit, where Nestorian churches and believers had long existed, was an important region for Nestorians. As retainers of the Mongol aristocracy Onggirat, the Antanbuhua family held official posts in Jining Circuit for three generations at least and left many stele inscriptions. These materials provide quite a lot of hitherto unknown information about the Nestorians in the Yuan dynasty, material that can to some extent make up for the shortage of Chinese historical texts for research on the Nestorians. When they held positions in Jining Circuit, the Antanbuhua family actively engaged in the building of Nestorian churches and the reconstruction of the Confucian Temple in Queli and even participated in the construction of Taoist temples. This demonstrates the communication and interaction between local culture and religion and the Nestorians in the Yuan dynasty.
