摘要
地名转喻是用一个相关的、显著的事物名称来代替某一地理实体,因而具有显著性和熟知性,长沙地名中大量存在着转喻现象:使用最多的是人名、地物、地貌转喻命名,其次是事件、数字等转喻命名,可见转喻在地名命名中具有广泛性和有效性,是一种值得关注和探讨的社会语言现象。
In geographical name metonymy the geographical entity of some place is replaced by relevant and significant things,so the geographical name metonymy is significant and well-known.There are a large number of metonymic phenomenons in Changsha＇s geographical names,in which personal names,ground features and topography metonymic naming are most used,and the events and figures metonymic naming come next.Obviously the metonymy has been widely and effectively used in the naming of geographical name,and it is a social linguistic phenomenon deserving our concerning and study.
