摘要 设计并研制了半导体激光器阈值电流测试仪,能够显示出半导体激光器的PI曲线及阈值电流。采用单片机ATmega64和D/A转换芯片AD558构成的锯齿波发生器作为半导体激光器的驱动源,并通过单片机实现驱动电流和光功率数据的采集以及阈值电流的求解。本方法能在不到1 s的时间内测出半导体激光器的阈值电流,可以忽略激光二极管的结温及环境温度对测量结果造成的影响。该测试仪驱动电流的量程可选,最高可达100 mA。利用该测试仪分别对2个半导体激光器进行了10次测量,测量结果的标准差分别是0.092和0.089。测试结果表明,研制的仪器具有良好的可靠性和稳定性。 A measuring instrument for the threshold current of semiconductor lasers is designed and developed,which can display the PI curves of semiconductor lasers and the threshold current.The sawtooth generator composed of ATmega64 and AD558 is used as the driver of the semiconductor laser.The drive current and optical power are sampled and the threshold currents are solved.The threshold currents of the semiconductor laser can be measured in less than 1 second with this method.Effects produced by the junction temperature and the environment temperature on measurement results can be ignored.The drive current ranges are optional and its maximum value is 100 mA.Ten measurements were made for two semiconductor lasers and standard deviations of measurement results are 0.092 and 0.089 respeclively.The results showed that the reliability and stability are well.
