《白虎通》建构了丰富的意义世界,对早期儒家的天命观、王权论及纲常关系进行了详细的描述。该书还通过天道、经典对其所建构的意义世界进行了权威论证,并从文字训诂的角度进行通经释义,为各种社会事务的存在提供了理论依据,也对语言文字的发展产生了深远的影响。
Bai Hu Tong constructed its meaning world by describing the mandate of heaven,the Monarchy and the Three Cardinal Guides and the Five Constant Virtues of Early Confucianism.Bai Hu Tong augured the meaning world by drawing support from the way of heaven and Classics and by explaining the classics by Chinese traditional exegesis.It not only provided the theory basis for the social life and political affairs,but also affected the development of Chinese language greatly.
