Based on the principles of Computational mineral physics, the anomalous phenomena of the seismologically observed Rs/p regional models between 1 000 and 2 100 km depths are adequately explained. The origin of the lateral variations in the depths of the discontinuous interface in lower mantle is revealed, and the interface is shown to be characterized by the features of physical interface.
