摘要
本文以Becker的家庭生产消费模型为基础,通过估计在外饮食消费的参与和支出模型,着重分析了北京城市家庭在外饮食消费决策中的收入与时间效应。结果表明收入与时间成本的上升均会显著增加家庭在外饮食的参与和支出水平,不考虑时间效应的收入效应估计有偏。此外,北京城市家庭在外饮食支出在过去的研究与统计中可能被显著低估。
Drawn from Becker＇s household production and consumption theory,this study analyzes the wealth and time effects on household participation and expenditure decisions for dining out using a newly collected data through a diary-based survey in Beijing.Major results indicate that both household income and time opportunity cost have positive effects on the household decisions to eat out and to spend.The result maybe not accurate when considering income effects without time effects.This study also shows that Beijing urban household expenditures on dining out might be significantly underestimated in the past.
