The paper expounds the developing trend of broadcast television network, proposes the necessity of constructing EPON networks. It introduces the application of EPON network in the cable network （including the design, points should be paid attention, and the EOC technologies, etc. ）, and points out the general idea of the construction of EPON network, technical points and implementation details.
