Combining with the excavation of deep foundation pit on Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, three standardization Jing river extra large-sized bridge river pier, it introduces the protective construction technology of excavating the thin wall caisson at deep foundation pit. It presents the difficulties of constructing the pier in water, the characters of thin wall caisson, the specific construction methods, the treating measures and so on. It accumulates the valuable experience for the similar projects.
