本文概述了过去海洋矿物勘探,并与目前的战略进行了比较。目前的重点是放在专有经济区(EEZs)的勘探项目上,特别是沿海和近海区域。尽管在大洋中脊的金属结核和块状硫化物仍然具有重要意义。文中介绍了一科通过γ射线频谱连续测量分析海洋底板的一种相当新的辐射矿物勘探工具,提出了在丹麦水域用原型探头收集的初步数据。
A brief summary of past marine mineral exploration strategies is given and compared to present strategies. Fo-cus is presently on exploration efforts in the Exclusive Economic Zones(EEZs), particularly in the coastal and near-coastal realms, although ferromanganese nodules and massive sulfides at mid-ocean ridges are still of significant interest. A relatively new radiometric mineral exploration tool, assaying the ocean floor through continuous measurment by gamma-ray spectrome-try, is described. Preliminary data gathered with a prototype sonde in Danish waters are pesented.
