The history of mirror in China can date back to 4000 years ago, which is testified by the two bronze mirrors respectively unearthed from two ancient tombs in Gansu and Qinghai provinces in 1975 and 1976. Over the sweep of Chinese history, bronze mirrors have evolved to reflect Chinese culture and traditions, in particular, patterns and inscriptions engraved in the back of bronze mirrors.
