摘要
晚清以来流行于上海的小报,在近代上海报刊史上占有重要的地位,但历来对其评价不高。文章认为近代上海小报在建构市民文化公共空间方面开辟了新的领域,它们以颇具特色的"嬉笑怒骂"的"游戏文章"方式开启了新的市民文化公共空间,发挥了大众传播媒介的新闻舆论公共批评功能。从表面上看,小报所刊登的多为低级趣味的世俗、消遣和娱乐文字,比如插科打诨、冷嘲热讽之类,实质上它是对晚清以来政府的一种民间化的社会批判模式。这种边缘式的批判模式一方面营造了市民大众文化的公共空间,同时也反映了市民大众文化对于政治权威和社会主流文化的反抗和消解。
Since the late Qing Dynasty,popular tabloids prevailing in Shanghai have possessed an important status in the history of newspapers and magazines in modern Shanghai. However,they have always been insignificantly evaluated. This paper argues that tabloids in modern Shanghai have opened up new areas in constructing public space of Shanghai residents’s culture by carrying distinctive and very funny articles which make fun of people and things or "curse them angrily". Thus,they have played the function of public criticism of public opinions in news media.
