摘要
庞德早期翻译的中国古典诗歌主要见于他1915年翻译出版的《神州集》里。《神州集》收录的18首汉语诗歌英译文译自19首中国古典诗歌。庞德主要以他提倡的英语现代诗歌的散文价值作为翻译的参考标准,对中国古典诗歌进行了现代化,使中国古典诗歌以现代英语自由诗的形式进入英美文学界,并大放异彩。
Most of Ezra Pound＇s translated versions of Chinese ancient classical poems,in his early stage,are collected in his Cathay,which was published in 1915.Included in Cathay are 18 English texts translated from 19 Chinese ancient classical poems.Taking into consideration of his ＂prose value＂ as the principal criterion for modern English poetry,Ezra Pound translated these 19 Chinese ancient classical poems into 18 modern English free verses which had drawn much critical acclaim from Anglican-American literati.
