摘要
通过文献分析和访谈美国新闻史学者,缕析美国新闻史教研曾经经历的问题之争以及由此而确立的强调文化史、大众媒介史和非主流新闻史的发展趋势,可以看到美国新闻史学者的挑战、质疑和反省,推动了该学科的不断发展。
Based on the literature review and the interviews with some distinguished teachers and researchers on journalism history in U.S., this article intends to highlight the key problems in the teaching and research of journalism history in U.S. and commentate on the several possibilities for its future development., social cultural history, mass media history, and the minorities＇ history. For those continuous challenges and self-criticisms, the journalism history in U.S. as a discipline still shows its vitality in the 21st century.
