摘要
研究了PC/PS共混体系及其增容体系的透光性能和双折射,结果表明,PC/PS共混体系虽是一个不相容体系,但仍然是一个透明体系。此外,PC是正双折射材料,PS为负双折射材料,将两者共混后,可部分低消其双折射,当PC∶PS=40∶60左右时,可使共混物的双折射率趋近于零,形成所谓的“零双折射材料”。PC/PS共混物中加了辐射接枝共聚物PCgPS后,由于共混物的相容性提高,共混物组分间的这种正负双折射补偿效应有所增强。
Birefringence in polymeric materials used for optical applications represents non isotropic optical properties, and therefore undesired, but cannot always be avoided. The results show that PC/PS blends are transparent though they are immiscible. A new method to obtain birefringence free polymer without sacrificing orientation in materials was proposed. This method is achieved by combining suitable amounts of PC and PS in the form of a blend. The observed drastic reduction in birefringence is the result of the compensation of positive and negative contributions to the overall birefringence.
