摘要
黑人父性的缺失是黑人文学中的一个重大主题。对此有着亲身经历的盖恩斯在他的小说中真实地再现了黑人家庭中父性缺失这一社会现象,揭示了父性缺失给黑人男性身份的建构所带来的严重危机以及给他们的子女所带来的巨大伤害,深刻地剖析了造成父性缺失的外在与内在原因,并在此基础上强调了黑人父性的回归对黑人男性个体伦理道德及其男性身份建构的重大意义。
The absence of black fatherhood is an important theme in black literature.With a personal experience of this absence,Ernest Gaines truthfully represented this social phenomenon in his fictions,poignantly exposed the serious crisis of identity this absence brought to individual black males and the bitter injury to their children,profoundly analyzed the external and internal elements that led to the absence,and emphasized the significance of the restoration of fatherhood for individual black males in terms of the construction of their ethic system and male identity.
