OBJECTIVE:To investigate into the inducing activity of the bone matrix gelatin obtained from limb bones of new-born clves on mice and rabbits.METHOD:BMG was transplanted into the mouse vertebra at the hip and the bilateral sides of the spinal column at the back of rabbits.RESULT:Tissue slices showed the presence of active osteoid tissues and calcified bones developing into osteocytes.CONCLUSION:The BMG obtained from calf bones is expected to be used in clinical practice.
