This article describes the method of designing X shape support for earth retai ning piles in the foundation pit of the basement of the multi purpose building for new product development of Tea lmport and Export Corporation in Xiamen.X shape support is a new type of supporting system to be used in foundation pits and has such advantages as reliable force resistance,easiness of construction and low cost.
