摘要
国际汉学界有"三个意义世界"之说,其中的"第三意义世界"是指既无血缘又未必有婚姻关系,但却和中国文化结下了不解之缘的世界各阶层人士。在提升中国文化软势力这个话题上,学术界对于"第一意义世界"(由广义的汉人所组成的社会)和"第二意义世界"(散布并侨居于世界各地的"华人社会")的作用,已经做了相当深入的研究,但对于"第三意义世界"的作用,却较少有人提及。其实,从这个视角,人们会发现,所谓"第三意义世界"在提升中国文化软势力、扩大其国际影响上具有不可替代的独特作用。他们拥有天时、地利、人和的优势,对中国文化的欣赏、热爱、模仿和践行,比起任何宣传,效果都要好得多;更为难得的是,他们的活动,会对所在地的主流社会产生实质性的影响,会更有效地发挥桥梁和纽带的作用。中国应在已有成绩的基础上,继续想方设法,培育第三意义世界力量,发挥他们的积极作用,以努力提升和扩大中国文化软势力的国际影响。
Culture,as the key component of a country＇s comprehensive strength,plays a more and more important role in the present world.It becomes a hot topic as for ＂how to enhance the cultural ＇soft power＇ of China＂.However,few people have paid attention to the role of international friends in it.Du Weiming,a scholar of American citizen of Chinese origin,brought forward the idea of ＂Cultural China＂ in 1990＇s,which can be parsed by ＂the three meaning worlds＂.The ＂third meaning worlds＂ refer to people of all lines in the world who are interested in or love Chinese Culture without consanguinity or marriage.Enlightened by Du Weiming＇s idea of ＂Cultural China＂,this paper deals with the unique role of international friends in the enhancement of the cultural ＂soft power＂ of China in order to fulfill the mission of building a culturally great power and harmonious world,in which ＂the first and the second meaning worlds＂ should make a long effort;however,the role of international friends can never be ignored.
