摘要
象似性存在于语言的各个方面。隐喻的相似性在英汉委婉语中体现的非常明显。隐喻就是把未知的东西变换成已知的术语进行传播的方式。委婉语同本义之间存在着隐喻象似性,并非无中生有。
Iconicity exists in all sides of language.Metaphorical iconicity is very obvious in Chinese and English euphemism.Metaphor is a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance.Euphemism has metaphorical iconicity with its original meaning,it is not a sheer fabrication out of nothing.
