摘要
自上世纪80年代我国实行改革开放政策以来,广大农村人民的生活得到了较大的改善,农村各项文化事业也得到了较快的发展。但是,由于我国幅员辽阔,经济和社会发展极不平衡,一些农村地区的经济、文化发展还很落后。正是基于对我国国情和发展规律的深刻认识,党中央提出了建设社会主义新农村的历史任务。作为农村文化事业的一个组成部分,乡镇图书馆可以也应该发挥特殊的作用。另一方面,新农村建设对乡镇图书馆的发展也提出了新要求,提供了新契机。为了更好发挥乡镇图书馆对新农村建设的作用,必须寻求新思路与新办法解决制约其发展的一些老问题。
Life of countryside people has got great improvement, various cultural undertakings of countryside has also got quiek development since our country put the policy of reform and opening into practice in the eighties. But culture and economcy of countryside fall behind because economic and social development of our country is extremely unbalanced and the size of our country is very vast. As part of countryside culture, village and town library can and should bring peculiar effect into play. On the other hand, new countryside construction has brought forward new call for developing village and town library and provided new chances. Developing village and town library must resolve a few old problems by exploring new thoughts and ways.
