摘要
叶公超中西学养深厚,而且深受英美现代派的影响,他的许多观念来自于艾略特,尤其是他回归传统的意识,和艾略特如出一辙。但他能够创造性地把这些观念运用于中国文学的实际,重视格律诗对中国新诗的建设性作用,为中国新诗形式建立提出了许多具有指导性的建议和具体的创造原则与方法。
Ye Gongchao was erudite in the studies of both the west and east and was especially influenced by modern English and American poetic schools.Most of his conceptions,the consciousness of tradition regression in particular,derived from T.S.Eliot.His creative application of the western conceptions to Chinese literature and his emphasis on the constructiveness of metric poems in Chinese new poems had great impact on the establishment of Chinese new poetry forms.
