This paper reports a new species of the genus Turanogryllus Tarbinsky(1940) from Shaanxi province, China. Type specimen is preserved in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.Turanogryllus melasinotus sp.n.(Figs.a,b,c). This new species is colse to T.eous B.Bienko and T.rufoniger (Chopard). It differs from both by: in male,1) disc of pronotum blackbrown, lateral lobe of pronotum cream colour; 2) epiphallus anterior border level, posterior border triangular sunken, two lateral border roughly equal rank; 3) dividing vein of mirror appears obtuse angle winding. In addition, it differs from T.eous in following characters:1) Tegmen with three oblique veins;2) Inner side of anterior tibiae with tympanal organ. Measurements(mm): Length of body:♂ 12.2; Length of pronotum: ♂ 2.2; Length of elytra:♂ 7.5; Length of posterior femur:♂ 8.5.Holotype ♂, Shaanxi province: Yang County, Wanniuba, Aug. 31, 1994, Li Kai.
