摘要
黄杨木雕是根植于传统文化土壤中的艺术,已形成了自身的表现方式,传承到今天若要使这一具有浓厚的文化积淀的传统艺术走向现代,则需要在表现形式、手法、内容上有破有立。传统工艺美术不应徘徊在技艺的层面,而应当追求艺境,要在充分掌握传统技法的同时与当代意识有机融通,产生出一个新的局面,这就要求工艺美术应当从以工为巧的层面走出,成为以艺入工的当代艺术。
Nurtured by the soil of traditional culture, boxwood carvinq has its own methods of expression. To modernize the traditional art of thick culture sediment, we need to renew the ways of expression, hand techniques and contents. Traditional arts and crafts should not only emphasize on techniques, but pursue artistic conceptions. A combination of traditional techniques and modern concepts will help to build a new phase. The arts and crafts should break the stereotyioe techniques and fuse art into techniques.
