The Trends of FTTH Fiber Optic Cables and Their Installation Methods

摘要 FTTH网络进入加速建设期,针对FTTH建设的经济性和速度,应用于FTTH的光缆及其安装方式呈现出不同于干线网的特点,如具有小型化、密集容纤、易于跨中分接、干式缆芯等特性的光缆,以及机械连接、现场安装的连接器和预端接等连接技术。介绍了FTTH中光缆的配置与要求,并对FTTH网络中新型的光缆结构和特性及其现场安装技术进行了阐述。 FTTH has got deeper and deeper penetration in recent years. Based on the economy and speed of the FTTH construction the installation methods of FTTH fiber optic cables have different features from those of trunk fiber optic cables, such as miniature structure, high density of fibers, easy mid-span access, and dry cable core. In addition some connection technologies are adopted, such as mechanical connection, field installable connector, and preterminated connection. The configuration and requirements for fiber optic cables used in FTTH are presented, and the structures, characteristics, and field installation technologies of the new types of fiber optic cables used in FTTH are described.
