摘要
书院是既不同于官学又有别于私学的独特的文化教育机构。书院在不同地域内的发展,深刻地影响了地方文化教育事业的发展。古代书院重视人才的培养教育,把人才培养作为自己的核心功能。千余年中,书院以其独特的教育理念、方式及内容培养造就了大批人才,提高了当地士人的文化素质,并逐渐成为地方人才培养的主导力量。此外,书院还通过引进不同地域的山长、教师主持教席,为地方教育注入了新的资源,促进了地方教育事业的发展。
Academy is a kind of unique cultural and educational institution both different from the official school and the private school. The development of the academy in different places, had affected the development of local cultural and educational undertakings profoundly. Ancient Chinese academy paid great attention to talents cultivation which was considered as its core function. In its thousand--year--long history, due to its unique educational idea, pattern and content, academy created a large number of talents, enhanced the cultural quality of local literati, and gradually become a dominant force in local talent cultivation. In addition, by introducing educators from different regions, academy brought new resources for local education and promoted the development of local education greatly.
