摘要
创建于1902年的山西大学堂不仅为中国近代大学教育的创立和发展做出了突出贡献,而且在适应地方经济社会发展需要、设置对应的近代专业、大力推进教学方法转型、加强具有近代专业技能人才培养等方面进行了有益的探索,取得了较好的成绩,为山西乃至全国近代化事业提供了积极的人才支持。
Shanxi University, which was founded in 1902, not only made great contributions to the establishment and development of modem college education in China, but also made some valuable explorations and achieved a great deal in such aspects as the adaptation to the needs of develpment of local society and economy, the set-up of corresponding specialities, the promotion of transformation of teaching methods and the fostering of talents armed with modern specialized skills, thus supplying a lot of talents to the modernization of Shanxi province and even the whole country.
