According to oral legends and literature, this paper makes an analysis of the origins of the two Pujiazhuangs. The original Pujiazhuang (now Gaojiadianzi) was a tribe of Hanpu in the Central Plains, which moved from Hanpu in the early Song Dynasty and settled by the Xiaofuhe River. In addition, after the Pu tribe was exterminated in the late Yuan Dynasty, Pu Zhang, the orphan, moved out of his grandpa's Yangjiazhuang Village and gathered the Pu descendents by Liuquanjing back to the early Ming Dynasty, known as Pujiazhuang. This is the origin of the second Pujiazhuang at Ziyi.
