摘要
许嘉璐先生曾任第九、十两届全国人大常委会副委员长,民进中央主席,国家语委主任;先生又是蜚声海内外的著名语言学家,教育家,社会活动家,在训诂学、《说文》学、词汇学、文化学、语言学和应用语言学等多个领域卓有建树,对国家语言文字规范、汉语国际推广和中华文化传播均有突出贡献,为国家培养了不可计数的人才。本文从许嘉璐先生的高尚人格与师德和许嘉璐先生诸多领域的学术贡献两方面对先生的为师与为学进行了评述。
Mr.Xu Jialu,a famous linguist,educationist,social activist,has achieved great accomplishments in critical interpretation of ancient texts,studies on < Explaining and Analysing Simple and Compound Chinese Characters>,lexicology,cultural studies,linguistics,applied linguistics and so on.Mr.Xu has made most outstanding contributions not only to the standerdization of both written and spoken Chinese,but also to the promotion of Chinese language and culture world-wide.Mr.Xu,a well-known professor,has trained numerous talents in his fifty-year teaching career.This paper attempts to appraise him as a professor and scholar from his personality,morality and from his academic accomplishments.
