数字图书馆:数字图书馆(Digital Library)是用数字技术处理和存储各种图文并茂文献的图书馆,实质上是一种多媒体制作的分布式信息系统。它把各种不同载体、不同地理位置的信息资源用数字技术存贮,以便于跨越区域、面向对象的网络查询和传播。它涉及信息资源加工、存储、检索、传输和利用的全过程。随着信息化、网络化的飞速发展。网络数字化图书馆已成为21世纪图书馆发展的必然趋势。随着世界各地的文献、数据等信息资源通过互联网在进行着全球性的共享与传播。世界各国都纷纷启动了自已的数字图书馆项目。当前高校数字图书馆由于缺少特色信息资源和特色信息服务,造成文献资源利用率低,用户难以查找。很难满足现代读者的需求。因此,怎么建立一个有特色化与信息化的数字图书馆、独树一帜的数字馆藏成为各高校探讨的话题。
Digital library is the library in which a variety of illustrated literature is treated with digital processing and saved with digital technology. It is essentially a distributed multimedia information system. To facilitate cross-regional, object-oriented network query and dissemination; a variety of different carriers and different geographic location information resources are integrated and stored in digital library with digital .technology. It involves the processing, storage, search, transmission and utilization of information resources. Along with informationization, network rapid development. The network digitization library has become the inevitable trend of the 21st century library development. As the world literature, data and other information resources are shared and disseminated by the in- ternet in the world. Many countries have launched their own digital library projects. Now, because of the lack of characteristic information resources services, literature resources are lowly used and difficultly to search in the digital libraries of universities. It becomes a popular topic that how to establish the distinctive and informatization digital libraries in the universities.
