摘要
在演变为话语标记的过程中,you know在句法、语义和语用等方面都发生了变化。从句法角度看,you和know或多或少失去了它们的范畴特征,尤其是know,它已经没有了时、体、态方面的变化。从语义角度看,在很多情况下,you know是认知情态的表达方式,表达说话人的主观看法和推测。在语用方面,you know能表达提醒、劝说,给说话人思考的时间等语用功能。这些语义和语用特征体现了说话人的主观性。
The paper attempts to discuss the semantic change and subjectification of discourse marker "you know" in terms of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. From the perspective of syntax, "you" in the discourse marker is more like an indefinite pronoun, and "know" has no categorical features of verbs. From the perspective of semantics, the discourse marker in many cases expresses speakers'attitude and subjective ideas. In addition, it could express many pragmatic functions such as reminding, persuasion, leaving time for speakers to think, etc. All these functions also express speakers'subjectivity.
