摘要
美国电影在近代中国市场的垄断地位,是早先学界的共识。然而衡诸历史事实,除了个别大城市,美国电影在20世纪上半叶的中国内地市场基本上不占优势地位。其原因在于,美国电影不能完全满足中国内地消费者的文化消费需要,也受到政治、经济、技术等诸多方面的影响。正是这样的"中国特色",成为影响美国电影在中国内地传播的主要因素。
The monopoly position of American film in the market of modern China was generally recognized in the earlier academic fields. However, depending on the historical facts, we have reason to think that, except great cities, American films did not occupy an advantage position in the market of China’s interior in the early half of the 20th century. Its cause is that, the American films could not meet sufficiently with the cultural demands of the Chinese interior consumers, and was influenced also by aspects such as polity, economy, technology etc. Those are the main Chinese characteristics that hindered the American films’ spread in China’s interior.
