摘要
本研究采用有声思维的方法,记录了2名外语水平不同的中国大学生在一次英语写作任务中的思维过程。根据有声思维的转写材料和回顾性访谈,本文分析她们在遣词造句时采用的策略,然后比较这些策略存在的差异。该研究发现:(1)外语水平较低者在词汇选择时,通常采用放弃性回避策略;而水平较高者较多地采用替代性策略,注意用词的多样性和准确性。(2)她们在遣词造句时都采用回读策略,前者主要回读字词,后者较多地回读语句。
This study employs think-aloud to detect what is going on in the mind of two Chinese college students with different English proficiencies in the process of writing an English composition. According to the think-aloud protocols and the retrospective interview, this paper aims to compare differences in their strategies. In conclusion, this study points out that: (l) When they are confronted with the choice of proper words, students with low English proficiency often apply the avoidance strategy, while students with high English proficiency always turn to substitution strategies. (2) They adopt the repeat reading strategy in the sentence-forming process. The former mainly repeat reading the words or phrases, while the latter mainly repeat reading the whole sentences.
