摘要
为了系统探究中国转型期教育平等的经济增长效应,本文结合内生增长理论模型考察教育平等对经济增长的影响,并采用1978—2004年时序数据对二者关系进行协整、误差修正模型和Granger因果检验。结果表明,教育平等是经济增长的Granger原因;教育平等与经济增长存在长期均衡关系,在其他条件不变情况下,教育基尼系数每降低1%,GDP将提高2.8%;当短期波动偏离长期均衡时,二者之间的调整机制将以-0.14的调整力度将非均衡状态拉回到均衡状态;二者内在传导机制是,提高教育平等程度有利于人力资本积累和技术进步,最终有效促进经济增长。
Based on Chinese statistic data of educational gini coefficient and GDP from 1978 to 2004,by applying cointegration technique,error correction model and Granger-causality analysis,this paper discloses long term equilibrium relationship between educational equality and growth.Also,educational equity is Granger cause of growth,and then GDP in China goes up by 2.8% as education gini coefficient decreases 1%.We also use error correction model to investigate short term fluctuation and its adjusting mechanism between educational gini coefficient and GDP in China.Reasonable policy of promoting educational equality may increase total output and make the society on the track of growth and harmony.
