More than 10 million rural migrants move to cities every year, and a large range of literature concerns this population group, yet mental health issue has not been focused. This research aims to explore migrants’ mental health status and its risk and protective factors. A survey design with multistage cluster sampling was used and 475 migrant workers were recruited. The questionnaire contained demographic data, the Brief Symptom Inventory, migration stress scale, meaning of migration scale, and interpersonal support evaluation list. The data analysis indicates that 25% male migrants and 6% female migrants could be regarded as mentally unhealthy. Path analysis results show that migration stress, social support, and migration meaning affect mental health in different ways.
